So, the image I'm using for this website is only temporary. If I use it for too long, Campbell is likely to force me to take it down. So, anybody got any ideas for the website Logo? A Camel, a C, whatever you can come up with!

Deadbolt I was gonna tell you about copyright infringement laws but I guess it is a little late for that but the electric camel thing is awesome I will ask some of my friends if they could possibly make us a logo.

As far as I know, the Camel I'm using now is a pretty obscure image. I'm not sure it was ever actually licensed by Campbell as the only place it appeared was on a hat made by Lids like four years ago. I've never seen it anywhere else, and that hat disappeared quick. I like Zero's creationg and that will make it up there soon. I'm leaving the current Camel as long as I can since I think people will more readily recognize it, especially the older students. So a couple more weeks with that image, then the electric camel goes up. More ideas are welcome, however.

Alan has provided me with some flyers for this website. Print a few out and hand them to your friends and ask them to join CamelWeb. This here membership drive should bank us a few new posters.

Also, Zero, could you do a version of the Camel w/o the lighting bolts?

Alright, we have some new choices for you today.

The current one, minus the voltage

Modified, no voltage, white background

No borders, brushed metal, black bkgrnd

Liquid metal, no borders, blk bk

Extruded glass, no bord, blk bk

Kinda retro mod, blk bk

Think we should put it to a vote, J-Bolt?

I'm willing to have flyers printed for camelweb if y'all'll hand them out. You really need to see the amazing wheels I made for the socialdetour Jeep.

The final flyer image needs to be 4x6 at 300dpi (so you can have adequate resolution when you're working on it). I'll have some made up w/ the socialdetour flyer on one side and the camelweb one on the other. The camelweb flyer will need to have the link to the community: http://socialdetour.com/camelweb.com

Thanks for the support Alan.

if I had to pick a picture for a logo I would go with either

The current one, minus the voltage

or

Kinda retro mod, blk bk

They are both pretty good...props to Zero

I like the retro one too but I don't like the white bubble around the "Camel Web" part...great job though.  :)

Well Jon, you're our resident Graphics specialist at the moment, can you help out with the flyers?

Yessa massa.

Oh, BTW, Cassie, I'll see if I can redo the retro one minus the text mod.

If y'all want flyers, I recommend getting the design done this week so you can have them by the beginning of the school year.

...and btw, that camelweb one looks real good on the front page of socialdetour. I think I'll make the front page show featured communities rather than "top communities"
