That was absolutely outrageous. Last night was a nail in Raymond James' coffin - to think that the biggest win in our school's history wasn't celebrated with the team and fans in unison after the game is completely disgusting. UCF fans rushed the field last night because they snapped a 17-game losing streak. If the RayJay wanted to protect its goal posts then put a ring of police around them; don't send fatass employees to tackle girls and shove Tazers in innocent peoples' faces. This unnecessary show of force, especially after fans were lead to believe they would be allowed to peacefully rush the field and congregate in the center, needs to be exacted. I don't yet know how and through whom, but those asshats are going to hear about it in the media. They already run the Bucs like shit, there's no reason to screw with USF students.

P.S. Brittany, if we play in Miami like we did last night, I'll assemble a run-block for you. We'll get three or four guys out in front and protect you. But I do have a feeling that Orangle Bowl employees don't have to put so long a stick stuck up their asses for their contracts.....

Check this out!!
"The sixth game was different. And now, after overcoming that hurdle, they can look ahead to other challenges.

They're scheduled to play No. 12 Miami next Saturday at the Orange Bowl.

Midway through Saturday night's third quarter, with their game against Louisville already in hand, the giant Raymond James Stadium video boards showed a female fan in the students section holding a hastily crafted sign.

The sign read, "Bring On Miami."

I was told by several folks that both RayJay employees and Athletics-associated individuals told the crowd during the game that rushing would be allowed as long as everyone stayed away from the goal posts.

ha..yeah and you believed them?

the 50+ cops on the field didn't clue you in?

let's be realistic here..they've never let us do it..and if they were to suddenly change their minds you think they would have made an announcement or something

Monday, September 26, 2005 3:24 AM

BMack

if a few people do it they are going to get stopped, if we all or most of use do it then we aren't going to get penalized.

Proof = 2 years ago against louisville

Of course I believed them. I'm in Miami, and I couldn't fly up for yesterday's game (go figure... I make the UCF game and miss Louisville....). There's always been 50 cops at RayJay - but I have personally rushed the field several times - once when they didn't want us to, and twice when they allowed us to. (If my memory serves me correctly). BMack, you are correct, Louisville 2 years ago is an example. They didn't "make an announcement" any of those times because the people in the front row went when they heard they could, and everyone else followed.

Why are you making such an issue of this? Can't you just agree that the assholes should have allowed USF students to rush the field?

"Realistically" it was the biggest game in our short history and the RayJay management behaved disgustingly.

Monday, September 26, 2005 4:02 AM

FazaUSF

P.S. I was there when an Athletics employee came up to the Studs 2 years ago to let us know we could rush the field. The other Beef Studs, people like BMack and Brittany, and I disseminated the information up the rows. So much for "they'd never let it happen."

Monday, September 26, 2005 4:06 AM

gurlybull

The jerks in blue just stood there. The FHP's said we could go as long as we did not touch the goal post. Employees of Athletics also said we could rush as long as we didn't touch the goalpost. Either way, the amount of force they used was unnecessary.

2 years ago against Cincinnati is a better example than 2 years ago against Louisville, because it was more well known that they didn't want us rushing the field because it was the 2nd time we did it. And after that game, they started passing out a note to everybody that came in through the student entrance saying that we weren't allowed to rush the field.

amber, i think it's time to clean the sand out of your vagina again. You're such a fucking fun assassin.

I spoke with a FHP Trooper ON THE FIELD who said students were going to be allowed to rush the field just as long as the goal posts were not in danger. He said the police were there to protect the goalposts. Additionally...the okay came from USF Athletics for the students to rush the field after the game and word is that TSA vetoed that decision. The next day at the Women's soccer game someone asked Doug Woolard about his thoughts and he said "we pay a lot to rent that facility, a whole lot, they should let us run it how we want." He also mentioned that he had already sent some emails about the situation to the people in charge. There will be a meeting with USF and the RJS people set to hash out these issues in the coming weeks.

The end.

that's great ...but if it wasn't that big of a deal why would they have signs everywhere saying students aren't allowed on the field?

i'm not the one making a big deal out of this, i just think it's crazy that students break a rule and then get pissy about the consequences. Yeah maybe there was too much force but if the rules weren't broken in the first place...
