honestly, I hope that this entire picture was a joke. I hope that you picked the shirt up at Goodwill for a quarter, popped the collar, and made a stupid pose to try and make fun of the yuppie douche bag frat guys, but sadly I think that this was a serious pic...what makes people act this way? Are trends really so powerful that people like this can't help but succumb to them?
And just in case this was a serious pic; where do you get off trying to talk shit to someone, there's no way anyone so weak minded could put up any type of fight.

I'm climbing in on this one, not in favor of anybody's side, but more-so delegating my opinion on the true issues under discussion.
1.) Pink shirts are exactly what they are: pink. It just so happens that some J.Timberlake or A.Kutcher pop fuckhead decided to test a pop-culture trend and it worked. Since none of the pink shirt-wearing kids these days is even partially responsible for setting the trend, and since pink has always been the most prominent "girl" color, wearing a pink shirt now consitutes only the desire to be unoriginal and trendy. Most criticized for wearing trendy pink shirts follow with the incredibly popular "real men wear pink" rebuttal. Real man or not, if you've had to defend the trend you're promoting, you've already lost the battle for originality.
2.) The same goes for "popped" collars. In my opinion, the only place a "popped" collar is actually useful and wouldn't be considered an attempt at pop-culture conformist trendfollowing is on the golf course, cause we all know that neck sunburns are a bitch.
3.) Finally, I really think dramatic, neverending, online bantering like this should be settled fist-to-fist. Nobody's mom has anything to do with the pink shirt / "popped-collar" discussion. Being "online tough" doesn't count for anything, ever.
To each his own. You'll never hear me say, "Nice pink shirt, fag." But, trendfollower beware: societal repercussions will undoubtedly follow.

I'm jumping on this one as well just to say a bunch of words I don't know the meaning of and basically to ramble on about a subject "social trendiness" that I know nothing about...but here goes.
1)Ace (aka Jake) doesn't give two fucks about pink. The photo is of low grade quality and basically just used as a tool to get morons to post a never ending coment list about it (I am one of these predidentified morons).
2)Pink shirts were* not started by Justin Timberlake..they were rather started by the Pink Panther (Cartoon super star of the early nineties). If not the Pink Panther then by me as I commonly accidentally bleach clothes...and wear anyway.
3)Who cares* if the kid is wearing the shirt because of social acceptance or just because all the blue, red, and black ones were either stolen (He was in Atlanta...Ludacris don't fuck around) or just not clean (college students commonly wear smelly clothes, me included)
4)So maybe he just wanted to smell good...or maybe he can use everyone else's socially unifying excuse of being drunk for popping the pink collar, but the bottom line is I just wasted five minutes typing this and three people will read it....but I don't give a fuck because I'm rick james, bitch.
5)sorry for just misconstruing my whole purpose of social trendiness as I just fell into the trap. (many of you will not understand this last joke as it didn't make a lot of sense, but Dave Chapelle would laugh, and I think to fit in you should too. We all know USFBS idol Ace will.
