I used to snowboard in Japan. I did for two seasons.
Conclusions:
-Snowboarding is much harder than it looks. Ouch.
-Japanese "Bunny Slopes" aren't what they seem. In Japan, bunnies are fierce creatures.
-Layering multiples of thermals and windpants do not substitute for a good pair of snowboarding pants. Damn you, cheap parents. DAMN YOU. Result of not having proper attire: Snow up the butt. Not so lovely.
-They sell beer on the TOP OF THE MOUNTAIN in Japan. Not a good idea. Nope.
-Skiing is MUCH easier, but doesn't look at cool. (I mean have you tried to walk in those boots?)
and I love North Carolina. I may move there after I graduate.

yea this was the first time I had ever done it and I was in large amounts of pain the first night. I got better but the conditions in NC aren't the best, I want to go somewhere with more powder and not quite as icy!
I'm going to WV w/USF during Spring Break w/my new board and gear, should be a blast, without the really painful first night

I just hated it cause you'd be goin along, doin ok then you hit a patch of ice and it's over...then it really sucks when you fall on said ice right on your hip...

haha well I guess we were in the right place then. I love NC, wouldn't have minded growing up there although Boone seems a little small.
