This was at Redington, a small old people's beach near John's Pass, the most consistently good spot in the area and almost never crowded. I also go to Fort Desoto, and sometimes Clearwater but its usually too crowded. Just broke my board saving for a new one though.

I'm from Treasure Island. I did skim boarding for a while until I took a really bad fall and somehow ended up having shells embedded into my leg and left butt cheek lol.

It is carbon, and the only thing I can tell you about kevlar is that it makes the board a little more heavy, and drops the speed down a bit. Try buying a wax for the bottom if that happens. Bowling alley wax is the best, but costs a little more. Car wax works but you have to reapply every time you go out. They make stuff called Speedwax and it is bowling alley wax in a small amount I found that works the best. I use it on my surf boards to just to slide a little more. It is made in Florida so it should be easy to find. Just wondering why do you want a Vic?

I want a vic bc they make nice boards, and are one of the only companies that make big boards. Any suggestions for other companies that make big boards

Exile( great rails ), Slotstik(sp) their new boards are sweet, ZAP ( Do not buy one ), Skimtech( Tom Quaid or Quaig makes them. He is a pro so he knows what is good. ),We have a local guy that makes killer boards in Panama City, but he is not ready to go open market yet. I am told Sol Skim makes a damn fine board but I have yet to ride them. Their rails are super sharp which is great for getting that turn off the top. Also a reason why I will never buy Vic again is that the last 3 boards I have gotten from them have had a defect. They have had cracks, pressure dings, air bubbles, and the people at Vic told me it was their fault but they could not do anything about it unless I wanted to wait 6 months to get it cause they were that backed up. I order mine through the Surf Shop I work at which gets first choice over special orders and they take forever. Now they are saying it is the shaper, and they have fired him. The best kid on our skim team rides Exile and he loves it, he is in the top 5 in the nation for his age group, so maybe it is the board! If I can help ya out in any other way let me know!
