Nothing the Red Sox have ever done aside from trading Babe Ruth even comes close to being the only team to lose a best-of-seven series they led 3-0. Especially considering the magnitude of the rivalry.

And how many times have all the rest of the teams in teh Major Leagues, in all of their combined postseason series, in all of history, blown a 3-0 lead in a best-of-seven series?

the same amount of times as world series rings that the red sox won while their best baseball player ever saw while he was alive, zero
I think it's funny that Ted Williams never got to see the Red Sox win the world series... guess we all can't live to be THAT old.

by saying that the yankees became the first team to give up a 3-0 series in the world series says a whole lot about what you expect from the red sox. i guess you expected your team to roll over and die.
braves sux!!!!

No, I personally didn't want them to roll over and die, but any sane person who says they knew or even expected them to come back from that, against the Yankees, ESPECIALLY with the way they lost game 3, is completely full of shit. I will admit, I thought they were dead in the water, I told some of my closest friends as such, but by no means did I want them to roll over.
