I didn't get one of those stickers that says "I Voted Early" or anything.
And unlike many democrats, i engaged my brain and voted for the correct candidate; BUSH/CHENEY.

I think that most people who spend their time in these kind of ways are looking to tack on some deeper meaning to their lives because they cannot be content with themselves, do not understand the virtues of simplicity, and just simply need to be constantly doing something to keep them from moping around.
I hate politics. I don't necessarily love Bush. I like Busch Light. I don't like Kerry. I don't like how everyone in this country has their own expert, punch-line opinion about everything that they assume they understand the ultimate voluminosity of. Witty slogans and signs suck unless you are using them to piss off people who use witty slogans and signs. The only people I hold any unusual respect for in this world are those who give their own sweat and blood in an effort to better understand the human condition, not those who point out the lapses of others for the sake of nothing. I am drinking. I'm not directing this towards anyone, especially not Hellion; she’s an awesome person.

Were you able to convert any republicans to democrats???
I've tried to convert liberals myself. It's tough sometimes.

So if you're voting in hopes of legalization or something, i don't see that any time in the near future. With or without a liberal in office.

1. marijuana is illegal.
2. It can ruin lives, as I have seen firsthand.
3. People who smoke pot cannot get or keep a job (at least a decent job that does drug tests)
4. It smells really bad.
5. It kills innocent sperm.
6. It makes people look really stupid and low class.
would you want your younger brother, or hypothetical child to smoke pot?
Wednesday, October 20, 2004 2:06 AM

HairyBearChaos
|
1. alochol's legal and i believe the stats are on alcohol's side when it comes to deaths/addictions/et cetera
2. anything can ruin someone's life
3. wow, generalization
4. subjective !!
5. so does masturbation ;]
6. so could playing sports, no? this is probably the worst point on here
and i wouldn't care if my younger brother [i have two younger brothers and two older brothers] smoked pot recreationally. i would care of my hypothetical child did at an early age but as long as it didn't take over their lives, i see nothing wrong with it.

I dont agree with alcohol either... but that is another matter.
And you wouldnt want your child to smoke at an early age..
you say it wounldnt matter if it didnt take over their life.... but that rarely is the case.
Pot can only have negative consequences.

can it? you may be right, you may be wrong. you can't deem that correct for all marijuana users.
i have watched my oldest brother waste away because of alcoholism.
i watched my second oldest brother have his life completely taken over by marijuana.
i smoked pot for a long time and still do occasionally but it doesn't mean it's taken over my life.

well then you should know first hand that pot is bad.
your own family members have suffered due to it.
of course some people can handle it and not let it get out of control... but it still isnt making things any better for them.
name one positive consequence from pot smoking...
one that dosnt have a negative consequence following it... and dont give me the glaucoma bs.

uh... it's recreation.
i still don't understand how you're deeming pot to be bad and not even touching alcohol. i watched two brothers get fucked up on two different things and one's legal and one's not.

I don’t think liberals love America. That’s pretty clear because they are never defending the actions of the United States. They voted for the war, and then attacked the very notion of going to war!??! What’s going on here?
Liberals want to live in this country but are not willing to pay the rent. Kerry’s “service” was a sham and was dishonorable to those who died in Vietnam. His books following the war and throwing away his joke of “earned” Purple Hearts was a sign of disrespect towards America.
If you haven’t noticed, we’re at war here. This isn’t the time to say that we don’t have a “real coalition” of allies and to poo-poo those troops from other countries on the ground with the United States. We don’t have to wait to pass some “world standard” in order to go to war. We don’t have time to wait for International law…
“International law is like Santa Claus. The only difference is that Santa Claus exists only in the imaginations of small children, whereas international law exists in the imaginations of law school professors. In the real world, international law is whatever the United States and Great Britain say it is.” ~Ann Coulter
