dads an electrical engineer

mom used to be an accountant... got promoted to comptroller, then to CEO, then to VP of operations. i agree that accountant is a rather small minded position.

Successful accountants don't remain accountants.

They start their own businesses, become CEOs, CFOs, kill themselves.

So really, you have to question the sample.

I'm thinking the teachers have an upper hand, in that they are experienced with direct book knowledge and test-taking. It'd be like putting an IQ research engineer on the list.

I have met various attorneys and others in the legal professions with IQs in the double digits.

I don't see how occupation has anything to do with IQ... Is this an average or a survey or something? Also, I'm an accounting grad student and I'm so smart.
