Comes out on my birthday. Quite awesome.
One of my friends told me Two-face will make an appearance in the film. Yes, I am aware Harvey Dent is in the movie, but I did not know his villain persona will appear in the film. Can anyone confirm this?

well even without that video, there's a part in the trailer they're showing before movies being released now that have harvey dent laying down on a floor with the left side of his face touching and there's a yellow liquid everywhere. i thought it'd be pretty obvious from that scene.

I knew he was going to get the transformation in this movie, but I didn't know his criminal persona was actually going to appear.

Yes he's (Two-Face) in the movie...the amount of face time (no pun) he gets and when he gets it is beyond me though. There used to be a teaser on Gothamcitypizzeria.com...just checked and either it timed out or just doesn't work anymore.

uh lol i totes called it a few months ago when a few of my friends here in mississippi and i were all watching batman begins at my house.
scarecrow got away at the end and i'm pretty sure i can see him in part of one of the trailers... i can't explain it in detail but i believe he's driving a van. i got my confirmation a week or so ago when i decided to look at cillian murphy's us.imdb.com page [http://us.imdb.com/name/nm0614165/] and read this:
quote :
The Dark Knight (2008) .... Dr. Jonathan Crane / The Scarecrow
... aka Batman: The Dark Knight (USA: informal title)
... aka The Dark Knight: The IMAX Experience (USA: IMAX version) |

Honestly so much happened that I couldn't even spoil the movie for anyone. Also it breaks my heart saying this (1. Because Jack was/is the man and 2. Because we'll never see it again) Heath surpassed the J man. Sadly no reason to stay after the credits and that was the ONLY let down.

You owned the movie, Heathy boy... You owned the movie.
Pretty solid performance by Heathy boy. Everybody else seemed... inconsequential. All I cared about was the Joker through the whole movie. The last 15 minutes without him was boring. And lets be honest, Christian Bale was kind of a bore in this movie.

I understand why he has a gruffy voice, but for fucks sake. I wanted to give him a fucking cough drop the whole time he was batman.
Also, the movie was kinda ruined for me because I sat next to loud, obnoxious, cell phone using fucking twat women who just happened to be loud and black. They would scream "Dey a bom in his belly you dum maw fugga!" I wanted to fucking go Harvey Dent on their asses...sigh, alas my date wouldn't let me and made me switch seats with her because I asked if they were retarded or just liked proving stereotypes correct.

the gruffy voice only got to me for the first 5 minutes, after that I didnt care anymore. It made sense. They covered alot of details in this movie like that.
As for the other actors being inconsequential, I disagree. I felt there were good performances all around.

Don't get me wrong though. The other actors did well. It's just that Heath's performance overshadowed the rest of them. It was his movie.

I can't recall the last time I've seen a movie get such positive reviews from the critics and word of mouth. I really haven't heard one person say they disliked the movie yet. Of course it's bound to happen in the next few weeks though, some people feel obligated to dislike something that's been hyped so much. Of course, I also loved it, it has completely set the bar for comic book movies and has hopefully discouraged writers and directors of future comic book movies from making them so campy and dumbed down to the point where there's almost no real plot. The success of this movie shows that audiences do still respond to quality. At this point I doubt that it will be possible for a comic book movie to come close to touching The Dark Knight, but hopefully more of them will follow this format. I figure if they're half as good, they'll be improvements over what we're used to seeing from comic book films.

History isn't on his side though. Posthumous Oscars are very rarely awarded, although we've seen a decent number of posthumous nominations. Whose performance was greater than Ledger's in your opinion?
