For the record, when your poor vacuous ego has a chance to be subject to relentless publicized dissection upon its decision to work for a greater goal for the betterment of others, you can begin to consider judging me legitimately.
KT and Brian, I appreciate the comments, and so does Brittany.
Also for the record - Brittany has an amazing body, and her face is just as beautiful if not more. You may view her profile, since her USFBS name is "gurlybull," but make sure you realize ahead of time that she has probably turned down gentlemen of more quality at this point in her life than you will spend the rest of your life achieving. It sure sucks to know you can't do something doesn't it... you may deny to yourself that she is an awesome/attractive person to lessen the pain that the truth brings upon your sorry self-image... but then the lame ones always do.

dont take this personally.. i did talk to you two in person about your platform.. however most people know you two are dating. How on earth would things be steady in the student government if God forbid you two broke up, or maybe even not that serious. Maybe having an arguement, etc. Those things DO happen in relationships.. things arent always cherrys and peaches. So in full honesty I do not think a couple can have a decent chance at winning a election in any kind of political arena. But besides the point bravo for running and wish you two luck in the future.

if you knew them at all you would know that they are more professional that to let that happen. Brittany and Brandon both have sincere feelings towards USF and are in agreement with their platform. Neither of them are immature enough to do something that would hurt the universtiy because of a stupid argument. Not all couples are immature and petty.

Well, I appreciate that comment, and of course that was a major point of concern for people and we knew going into it that it would be. But a few things...
1. I WISH that our relationship was all peaches and cherrys...lol. We were working together professionally and that has ALWAYs come before any personal scraps or anything we may have had. We worked together in all kinds of projects with SG & that also includes emceeing events like ROundup & Midnight Mania, (which we had a huge fight before and we weren't speaking, lol) as well as DJing big events. We have done all kinds of Formals, Socials, Philanthropy events, and even Homecoming Ball. We understood that concern, but we knew that together as a professional team we were awesome, and we decided not to let out relationship ruin a chance for something like that.
2. You don't have to be dating to fight. My office was right next door to last year's SG Prez & VP and let me just tell you, they got a lot accomplished, but there was ALOT of disagreement. I know alot of times they didn't agree on votes...or how to handle situations...stuff like that...it happens no matter what. I would feel more comfortable knowing someone was in office who already knew that they were a good match professionally than someone who got together one month prior and decided what the hell, let's go for it. I was Brandon's campaign manager the first time, and we started planning things for the students and our platform almost a year before the election and in spite of all of that BS about us, we decided to give it a shot. We'll just see how well the outcome goes for the students, cuz I am still a student and there have already been votes to increase housing costs, and votes to increase tuition, all by your new Student Body President.
3. The last time our Student Government won Best Student Government in the State of Florida was 1996. During that time, Joe Whalen and Jen Brack were in office. They were not only dating, but they were living together also. SG has never seen a year like that. Administration loved them, and students loved them. They happened to split up after their year in office, but they were more professional than most of the Male-Male or "undating" teams in office since. They were given a lot more hell in the race than we were though. We were expecting more immature pranks..but we were grateful for what appeared on the surface to be maturity from the other candidates.
4. Brandon and I were never made for politics and that is because we are both very honest and very trusting. We make a promise, it's good. The campaign that won the election was a part of our campaign team until a few weeks before the election, (we had been planning for 6 months) and they had been to our meetings, and had our full platform. Now i am not going to point fingers...but that is some BS too and we never threw it back in their face to stir muddy waters like some people did about our relationship.
5. I appreciate your comments and if you have read all of this, then props to you. But, we lost, and if you ever want to know the truth about why, you can IM me sometime, there is no reason to spread stupid shit over a website that is already chock full of it. Brandon is off to Medical School at a much better school, and I have seen the light, I am serving USF in other areas. $2500 in debt later, we are all good!! Good luck to the winners, I know I still have their platform and I will be holding them accountable. It's over, let's DROP IT!
P.S.- We are still dating bitches...

Good show, Britt. I would also point out that we were very happy and grateful to our campaign team - we had less than half the number as other campaigns and they busted their butts, and were only behind about 20 votes that kept us out of the runoffs. That means Britt and I - the ones who were dating, and whose relationship everyone questioned - got almost the same number of votes as the ones who came out on top (we were less than 1/2 of 1% behind them). Pretty damn cool since everyone was so busy worrying about us breaking up.
