Description:
Screw the standard images of Death the Immortal with his black cloak and scythe... these little fuckers are what death looks like to me.

Pine nuts. Pinoli, Pinio, Pignoli.
Or, as I now call them, Death.
They like to grind them up in a lot of entrees. I had to go to the ER last night because of it.

Ooooh I love pine nuts! I munch on them all the time at work. Sorry about your episode.

^eeep... if it hadn't hit right away (and usually it doesn't), I probably would have eaten the entire slice and probably died (I am completely serious, too).
We were laughing over it once I was feeling a little better, but it is really fucking scary because of the 2 times at restaurants, the waiters have insisted there weren't any in there after I started reacting... and upon demanding they consult the chef, they both came back and told us we were right.
It's just scary because I'm deathly allergic to them, they're small, and they're ground up in a LOT of entrees.... :-/

I bet a pine nut detector would come in handy.

that sucks because they are delicious. it could be regular peanuts..I think they're a little more limiting than pine nuts.
