Niggy- Did you know Kevin? I just asked (even though it was awhile ago) because he's the only local guy I know of that got drafted to them (Even though I know there are other guys probably).

^big payday? if you go straight to the majors, yeah....minors-hell no. and the vast majority of ballplayers don't make it to the show just like that. also..what if he got injured? he'd be screwed.
he IS good enough...just being smart about it

50k aint much of a bonus(more than likely after the 20th round), hes smart to goto college for prolly 2 years then go back and get drafted assuming you do well enough and get drafted somewhere before the 20th.

plus college pitchers are more polished than high school ones anyways, not to many HS pitchers play well their first few years in the MiLB
