Why would somebody do this to a vehicle?

That is exactly how a truck should look. Congratulations, you are one of the few people who actually take full advantage of their trucks. I am proud you're a member of USFBS.

BAHAHA, nice! My truck looked like that once. I took it through as pond that was about 3 and a half feet deep at about 20 miles an hour. It ended up costing me a new computer system for the truck and a lot of "explaining" to the warranty people. But for about a month, whenever you hit the wheel well, sand and caked up mud would fall in huge clumps from somewhere under my truck.

It's interesting that you mention the warranty.....they show trucks being beat to shit in the tv commercials, but if you actually go do that stuff tot he truck and break it, the warranty people say you were abusing it and don't cover it. I argued that point in front of a small claims arbitrator and won my case on a warranty repair once.

^^ I told the guy it was work related. When he looked at me weird, I told him I had to pull out a bobcat from a swampy area at the power plant and showed him my work badges. He said, "Oh, well next time tell them no." And I got my new computer and O2 sensors and blah blah blah.
