MikeYS13	Detonation isnt out of the question- but no pinging was heard. This motor was installed for maybe 4 days, and had a shaky past before we put it in the turbo car. It was burning oil fast. #4 (the cylinder that popped) had slightly low compression, which would spike when we added oil to it and tested. Anyways- my roomate (owner of red KAT) wants to put a basic KA in his other shell for a DD untill we can open up the built motor that was knocking. (built KA-T motor started to knock, so we slapped the turbo and MegaSquirt on this spare longblock) This "spare" KA that just let loose will be out and junked soon hopefully, maybe salvage the head. Unfourtunately, something escaped via oilpan when #4 rod decided it had enough, so a new oilpan bung must be fabricated for oil return. Saturday, May 27, 2006 2:34 AM
