russian people are aweosme artists. Look at Gennady Tartakovsky who drew all the samurai jack stuff. Carnage would fuck Venom up any day.

You know what I love about Genndy Tartakovsky: he could go into anyone of my drawing classes, draw any character from Samurai Jack, and get failed by the teachers, who will tell him he will never make it as a respected artist.
Back on Topic: Carnage = badass. All his clones, like Shriek = crap.

Speaking of Genndy Tartakovsky, Dexter's Lab is one of the greatest shows. And Samurai Jack is awesome too. Although it's not because of the art.
Now back on topic. Carnage = badass.

I -haaaaaaaaaaaaaaaate- Carnage.
You can put him right up there with the Bane, Doomsday and Venom of bad writing.

^^He always had teeth.
^I thought it brought some interesting dynamics to the venom and spider man stories. He was just a lunatic, hard to mess that up.

Do you know why Carnage isn't used anymore?
Because he sucks.
He got sent to the sun by the Sentry.

God damn it. I will never catch up with the comic scene. Not cool...
Rico, is there a new comic book store next to Quiznos?

Yes. Demolition Comics.
Buuuuut it sucks.
I miss my old lcs.
Why it sucks:
It's essentially just a vestibule for you to buy things. You walk in, buy. You can't sit anywhere and enjoy, and the comic book workers are sociopathic.

I see Demolition Comics on the billboard, but it looks hidden in the mini shopping mall. I need to check it out.
Rico, how does the place look? Any good merchandise?

I just went there after running my psych. experiment. The place is small and their collection is rather weak. Rico, I tried to find those Batman graphic novels you recommended, but I could not find even one of those recommendations. Not even one!!! I am disappointed.
However, I did not leave the store empty handed. I bought Batman: Face the Face. A recommendation from the owner of the comicbook store.
[Edited by OmNiSciEnT12b on 9/21/2006 8:03:17 PM. Reason for edit: Owner is a nice guy. The store was closed when I arrived, but he open the door and let me browse around for 20 min. ]

Meh. Face to Face gets a lot of respect because a) it's a OYL (one year later) storyline and b) James Robinson wrote it.
James Robinson got a lot of notoriety for creating one of the best series of the 90s; Starman. If you ever get the chance, you ought to pick this series up because it is absolutely fantastic.
Face to Face though is... well, it's -okay-. It wasn't bad, but it wasn't memorable.
