yup I've seen kangaroos...most of them have been road kill though. like possums, dogs, cats, etc. in america. dead kangaroos everywhere.
and Australia is great, it is SO beautiful here...but I NEVER would have dreamed I would be as homesick as I have been. I miss my American men!!!!!!!!! And I especially miss my marshmallow lovers hot chocolate, lucky charms, count chocula, fruity pebbles, and all the other wonderfully delicious and semi-nutritious sugary treats we refer to as cereal. haha

Im on exchange in Australia too! I am in Hobart Tasmania, nothing short of heaven on Earth. The only thing I've found I really miss about America is easy school. If I get enough points down the road, I think I'm applying for a migration visa.
^^ If you want to go to Singapore and Borneo on those dates instead, holla. I'm buying my ticket to Singapore this week. Borneo might turn into Indonesia, I'm kinda on the fence.

Yeah the school thing is a great idea. On one hand I miss America but I dont know if I miss a particular place in America. I just miss the things we take for granted. On the other, I want to do PhD studies here because I qualify. In the states I am not close to getting in but here I make it with flying colors. The school here is half as long too!
About the trip...Shit! I was kicking around the idea of Singapore but I have already bought the tickets to New Zealand. Anyone is welcome to come!

Is it really that easy to do postgrad here? Interesting to know. You can probably change your tickets pretty easily, but flying to Singapore from the east coast would probably cost more. I found a budget Singapore carrier with a student fare of AU$350 one-way from Perth. New Zealand looks awesome though, I was in Auckland for a few days. Central City Backpackers is a decent hostel.
