I didn't claim this guy was anything. Keep in mind the number of photographers she has sworked with is more than 2... an lower than a million. And what is an SLR? I'm no camera expert.

SLR means single-lens reflex camera.
It pretty much means that there's a mirror inside that reflects the image straight from what the lens sees, instead of looking through just a little window on the side of the camera. This way you shoot exactly what's in the lens' view. A non-SLR camera has an angle of about 20 degrees between what you're seeing through the viewfinder and what the camera is actually going to shoot. IMO real photographers, or at least serious ones, wouldn't be shooting with anything but an SLR.

so how do you know that his camera doesn't have an SLR?

Wednesday, May 24, 2006 7:30 PM

xcalmxfuryx

^because of the way the camera is built. It's shape is highly atypical of an SLR camera.

Heheh.

I was just going to say that this looked like some dude taking a picture of some chick. I didn't know that "photo shoot" was such a blanket statement.

Wednesday, May 24, 2006 10:21 PM

xcalmxfuryx

So what, then, does a "photo shoot" imply?

Wednesday, May 24, 2006 10:27 PM

TrackStar

I'm pretty sure his camera was of high quality, it had alot of shit on it on closer inspection. And I think it was a 12 mega pixel camera also, 12 or 8, somthn like that. Whatever...

And yea... photo shoot? who does those things...

lol, and who said his name was tony? But anyway, yea, he does do celeb photog, I seen his pictures and he pretty much has shot everyone. And somthn I didn't say before, I've noticed that alot of photographers that are good are capable of useing all sorts of different cameras from low to high quality. I read an article once about one famous photographer (shot scenery) who uses a shitty digital camera for all of his pictures.

Santoro: You know random info about cleaning like a housewife, I know information about being a photographer.

That'd be fine and dandy if he took good photos with his shitty camera. He doesn't even know how to expose properly.

^^You base that off of one image that she threw on this site not because it was good photography but because she liked the way she looked? There are plenty of images from that set that have nothing wrong with them.

I've asked this before, do you ever take imperfect pictures?

Friday, May 26, 2006 3:58 AM

burnsinat0r

There's 5 shots from that day in her gallery. All of them poorly exposed. I based that judgment of the 5 photos and the fact that he looks unprofessional.

Of course Ive taken imperfect pictures. I make sure to only provide the good ones to models.

But why do you care so much? If the guy's work is selling then it's selling. Don't hate...

His teacher told him so. And how can you "look" unprofesional? As for which pictures we get, we get em all cause thats what we want.

Friday, May 26, 2006 10:16 AM

burnsinat0r

I'm self taught. Havent had a class or teacher yet.

I don't care that much. Just addressing that Nick thinks all of these photographers are big time celebrity photographers and there are no pictures to back it up.

btw...using a digi cam with on camera flash makes you look unprofessional.

Friday, May 26, 2006 1:18 PM

TrackStar

theres definitly a flash on that thing...

And this guy does work with celebs, but I never even pointed it out untill you brought it up. I haven't claimed all of her pictures are by high talent celeb photogs either.

Quit being an ignorant sounding douchebag, lots of accusations, lots of assumptions and you keep striking out.

I think all his accusations have been pretty well backed up with facts or first-hand knowledge (jmo)

Yes I know. Hence me saying he was using ON CAMERA flash. No decent photog uses on camera flash. Trust me, I know what Im talking about and you don't.

Anyways, If you want to check out where these 'accusations' are coming from, go back and read the SG thread.

I use a camera daily over here in the desert that cost 15,000 and comes with a laptop and all sorts of crazy gadgets, lenses etc. I take pictures of junk. I know nothing of cameras. Military budget. yay.
