Thursday, January 15, 2004 10:53 AM

Man, you are crazy. It's all about Def Leppard. And Duran Duran. And Journey. And Rush. I can keep going.

And S+M was the best Album.

Thursday, January 15, 2004 11:40 AM

swank

If you've watched Fight Club, you've heard The Pixies. That song at the very end is by them. Check out their other stuff, though.

Thursday, January 15, 2004 11:42 AM

USF3983

rush was ok. but i dont really dig the others.

Thursday, January 15, 2004 12:03 PM

Lemmiwinks

You mean, Rush is ok if you can get past the singer. But that's impossible.

Thursday, January 15, 2004 12:22 PM

I must apologize. Last night I forgot to add Van Halen.

Thursday, January 15, 2004 7:19 PM

Halen is a god. i absolutly love Metallica, too

van halen was great too. my point tho, is that great bands in the 70's and 90's outweighs the amount in the 80's

Thursday, January 15, 2004 11:47 PM

RockStarAngel

that's true. look at guns n' roses

Granted the majority of the bands of the 80's did not have the staying power like that of the 70's, but let's be honest, the 90's had much in the shit department. The think is that we remember the 80's bands sucking, we have all repressed the sucky 90's bands.

Friday, January 16, 2004 1:49 AM

USF3983

u know wat, i never thought about it that way b4. thats tru. the good 90's bands tho were in the late 90's and carried over to the watever u call wat we're in now. the teens? i can name more good 90's bands than 80's bands tho. alice in chains to say the least. thats a band that didnt really make it to the new millenium but made their mark during the 90's. there's some others tho. the 80's just wasnt my type of music. not into the whole synthesizer.

don't get me wrong, ride the lightning was good times. but if you think that was metallica's best album, you've obviously never heard the likes of master of puppets or and justice for all. i'm convinced that puppets was their best album by far, and you can't convince me otherwise. puppets, battery, sanitarium, damage inc. other albums just don't come close.

I'll still stick with S+M. It brings together most of their best songs, even two new ones that are done quite well. The symphony adds a bit of flavor to the songs, and the audience chorus shows real love for the band.

Tuesday, January 27, 2004 9:02 PM

USF3983

nah no way is puppets better than ride the lightning. black album was better than puppets and so is kill em all. i own justice for all and its the least of my favorite metallica albums. i never really listened to S&M but i heard it wasnt too good. but thats wat i heard so i cant really say anything about it.

"Justice" was the best Metallica album, period. "Puppets" is a solid number 2, while "Ride" falls in at number 5 on the list.

And "Mr. Brownstone" is one of the best GnR songs ever.

Actually, I think Flock of Seagulls was a much better band.

Okay, no, I'm just kidding... but Metallica started to go downhill when they made the black album. They put the nail in the coffin when they cut their hair. Because, we all know it's ALL about the hair!

hehehe.

Monday, February 23, 2004 10:49 AM

USF3983

i hope you mean they went downhill when they made the next album after the black album. the black album was a masterpiece.
this is the correct order of things.

1. ride the lightning
2. black album
3. master of puppets
4. kill' em all
5. ...and justice for all
