Ah, the caption confused me. It said "After my Eagle Ceremony"
Me and my brother took all of our pictures holding our crap because our parents wouldn't let us put it down.

Yeah, I was always really good at talking other people into doing that stuff while I did other jobs.
Somehow I still got my orienteering badge.

Do you really get a letter from the President? I read that in a book about a kid who tried to build a makeshift nuclear breeder reactor in his backyard shed in Detriot.
I was a cub scout. I made it to wolf scout, I think. I don't remember anythign except building a soapbox derby car that lost. Scouting was developed in Britian by Baden Powell in 1908. He wrote Scouting for Boys, it's funny. It was created to stop kids from loitering, smoking, and primarilly.. masterbating.

Good Job... Didn't think you were that type of guy. Guess that would be stereotyping though. I'm a Girl Scout Gold Award recipient and I don't exactly think of myself as the type.

Very true. Not many at all reach Eagle. Some statistics about Eagles, and scouting in general:
64% of Air Force Academy graduates are scouts
68% of West Point graduates are scouts
70% of Annapolis graduates are scouts
72% of Rhodes Scholars are scouts
85% of FBI agents are scouts
Of the 214 former and present astronauts, 142 have taken part in Scouting. 33 became Eagle Scouts, including Neil Armstrong, the first man to set foot on the moon.
17 of our United States Senators, over 60 of our Congressmen, 11 of our state Governors, 14 of our senior military officers, and over 1700 chief executive officers/presidents/heads of corporations are all Eagle Scouts.
Eagle scouts who join any branch of military service start out immediately as an E-3, where-as all other recruits start out as an E-1.
