I have "ok" guitar skills (i wonder if that qualifies me to post) and i would recommend dashboard songs for inspiration, but u don't have an acoustic. Anyways, you could make a post on the message board and ask for easy songs to learn on an electric, i'm sure there will be plenty of inspiration to feed off of. = )

Jaco Pastorius. Hours and hours of listening to Jaco Pastorius. That's all the inspiration you'll need. =)
I am also willing to teach... =)

Holy shit jaco Pastorius is the man. Played a song by him called funky chicken or something in jazz band and it was absolutely the hardest thing ive ever played on tenor sax

"The Chicken" is a great song, Osteor. It originally wasn't written by Jaco (it was by Pee Wee Ellis), but Jaco's arrangement is crazy as fuck. But "The Chicken" is just the tip of the iceberg when it comes to shit that Jaco's written/arranged/played/etc.

Perhaps it could help to know you're most likely better than I am. I've hit my plateau for now. Maybe I should go learn some scales or something.
