there were signs around campus with the times of the games on them a few days before the game, no excuse, plus i believe it was in the oracle as just about every game is mentioned in there on the day of the game. if you really want to know when a game is, there are plenty of ways to find out the times they are at.

^^,^its true, if you don't know when a game is, its because you haven't taken the time to look around you, or to step foot into the athletic center to get a schedule.

Yeah it's unfortunate... women's basketball and a commuter school just don't mix. Someone should do a study and see what percentage of resident students are attending the games and go from there...

^obviously you don't follow womens basketball here at all, she is not the all-time leading scorer here at usf, she has more points in her career than any other basketball player, mens and womens included. she led the ncaa last year in scoring 11 out of 17 weeks. and she will be a top 5 pick in this years WNBA draft. but yeah, your right it won't be worth anything

people go see womens basketball, take a look at duke, unc, tenn, uconn, they consistently have big crowds at their womens basketball games, hell tenn. had over 10k at one game, i saw. while we might have a big following now, its just beginning to get bigger crowds and next year it should increase. it will be worth something due to the fact that she set records here and will be a top 5 pick in the draft.

who were the top 5 picks in last years draft for the wnba? without googling it...i bet 90% of america can't even name the teams in the wnba

i don't even remember who was the top 5 picks in the nba draft or the nfl draft. i do know that usf had a player drafted in both the nba and wnba drafts last season

**Being an alumni, I never go on campus. I have much better papers to read than the oracle - not like i would even know where to get one by my work.
so they should have sent me emails or something telling me there was a special event going on.
and no, i don't normally care when the games are, but if i knew someone was going into the wnba and it was senior night i totally would have gone.
so yes, it is an excuse.

Michelle you know you dont care about USF athletics and you are not a fan either, you have prob gone to one or two games you whole time here. You have more important things to do like only paying attention to yourself and ignoring people who were actually cool to you and invited you out to games. SO why start caring now?

^you could have always looked on-line at www.gousfbulls.com or check out the Oracles website at www.usforacle.com on gousfbulls.com just go to womens sports and click on basketball, they have a schedule of the season there and updates about the program, which would have included a story on Jessica Dickson going to break the record. or simply check out www.jd25.com which is the official website set up by atheltics to get Jessica Dickson's name out to the world.

your point is that you'd rather have it e-mailed to you personally instead of you doing a little hw on usf athletics. you'd rather come home from work and have all this sitting right there on a silver platter right??? honestly if you REALLY wanted to know what is going on with USF Athletics, there are numerous ways to find out about it, its just lazyness or lack of interest from your part to not find out.

MY POINT is that usf needs to market important events better. If I didnt know about it obviously a lot of other people didn't either.
Nothing on the radio advertising about it, etc. I hear shit being advertised on 106.7 about orlando schools all the time.
And hell no I am not going to go to the website and find out because the thought would have never even occured to me that anyone from a USF team would make it into the WNBA or NBA. No one cares about women's basketball to begin with, so if something major is going on they are going to have to make it a big deal to get people to care.
Yeah it might suck but welcome to real life - and I probably represent about 75% of the alumni/student body.

there were articles in numerous papers about it, as well as written in a couple blogs by a tribune writer and a times writer, and stop being lazy, your the one who said you'd go if you knew about it, i was just pointing out how to find out, oh and we should have another player from the mens team drafted to the nba this year, mattis should get drafted and buckley could get drafted as well.
